I talked about getting prepared for disasters in a previous post, but I wanted to bring it up again. September is National Preparedness Month and is being sponsored by the US Department of Homeland Security. With September being the height of hurricane season, and a major hurricane (Gustav) bearing down on the Gulf Coast, it’s a good time to remind everyone who is not in the path of the storm that disasters can happen anywhere and at any time. It’s best to prepare for them and be ready. The DHS has a website devoted to helping you do this. Take a look and take some time and get ready. It CAN happen to you too!
